My browser doesn't even recognize it as a site. It thinks that dead.net is an application and asks me to download it or browse for a program to use to open it.

I'm on Mac Safari also, v5.1.2 - time to update? also update your Flash plug-in.

My old Mac Book was updated to Leopard (10.5.8) a while ago . I have checked my software updates, fine . And I recently updated my Flash .
THis is odd .

You guys may need to update your browsers... I think this is in HTML5. It has script fixes for IE8 and 9, but no special detection for old browsers.

Good call. It is HTML5 which means that all of the flash type stuff is embedded too, which makes older versions of browsers confused/thinking the site is trying to execute/install script on your machine.
